About

Producer and DJ Rosa Lux got her name from the german-polish socialist activist Rosa Luxemburg (1871-1919). She is an established part of the club scene in Copenhagen and has promoted parties, had her own nightclub and been a part of the controversial queer collective Dunst.

Now she has just released her debut album “Monsters”, that features guest singers Randi Laubek, Solveig Sandnes, Martin Ryum, Basim Alansar and Alberte & Josefine Winding. Her first single “Min Klub Først” has been a massive hit this summer and is a promising start for her album.

As a dj since 2002, Rosa has played an eclectic mix of tech-house, techno, Deep-house and Balearic. Her sets are always influenced with warmth, funkiness, oddities and fun. Her love for intelligent lyrics, melancholic melodies and deep bass is evident and she mixes them elegantly with surprises of old hits, disco and quirkiness that suits Clubland well. This mixture has transcended into her first album that came out in May 2011 which makes it a jewel box full of gems of that kind.

She received financial support from Statens Kunstfond (Danish Arts Foundation) in 2009 and 2010 for her own projects as well as for her contribution to the music collective Konokone. Rosa Lux is also part of the booking group for the electronic festival Strøm.
